Making Room in Your Space
I hold a deep appreciation for creating intentional and unique spaces through interior design. The environment we inhabit truly affects us. The past 8 years I’ve learned more and more about this as I’ve dug down deeper into the layers of mental, emotional, and spiritual health. There’s never been a time that I was more aware of our need to engage beauty, and the profound and far reaching affect it has in and around us. I believe God has hard wired us to respond to beauty, and one of the ways we can intentionally engage beauty is in the curation of the places we live and work.
How I Can Best Help
What I’ve specifically found through a few different design and business projects, life lessons and even spiritual formation, is a place I really like to call “home” in design and creating spaces. My favorite thing is to create spaces of retreat. A place you can get away, without having to really “get away.” Think about what happens on a “getaway,” intentionally spending time somewhere and/or with someone(s) that is outside the norm of your life. What tends to happen in you? It’s as if your soul starts to open up and breathe.
There’s space, there’s clarity, there’s peace, there’s joy, there’s a lightness. You notice beauty, and you savor it a bit longer. It doesn’t change or solve the rest of our life circumstances and their practicalities, nor does it invite us to become or stay separate from them. But it does something in us. And that is important. An accessible, short getaway, perhaps even, a refuge within your own home changes the way we are able to operate… the way we work, love, and interact on the day to day.
What would it be like to have that in your home or perhaps a workspace? Whether it’s a single room devoted to this, making changes in a few intentional spaces, or taking a look at some key changes throughout the whole house, I’d love to help you make room for this. To create a space not just disconnect, but also to reconnect. Not just to disappear from life, but to settle into your life. Whether it’s a space to tuck away or connect, to get creative or to get to work, may you make room to hold the sacred there in the ordinary. If you’d like help making room in your space through design, I’d love to connect. Let’s start the conversation.
Design Bundles
I primarily work through design bundles. I find this to be an approachable meeting point for both you and I. We each know what we’re getting ourselves into and have a checkpoint along the way. The scope of these projects are likely to be a bit smaller than some traditional interior design work (think mini reni). The Design Bundle is $350 and includes 5 hours of design consultation/implementation. If further hours are requested, they will be charged at an hourly rate, or additional bundles can be purchased. If you’re interested in a Design Bundle or have further questions, click and fill out the form below. We’ll see if it’s a fit. Our initial project consultation/conversation is free.
